WW - Rolex Oyster Perpetual "Feet First" Submariner, ref 5513, circa 1974, 42mm including crown guards x 47mm to lug tips, 20mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back Oyster case and bi-directional timing bezel with later bezel insert, folded link Oyster bracelet with tuna can style clasp and fold over safety, original black matte meters first dial with tritium painted lume plots, 17J cal 1520, s#3832460, triple signed with signed clasp, bracelet ref 9315 with 380 end pieces and misprinted "pateted" diver's extension, inside back ref 5513 with date code of 1/71 indicating the case back may be from a different watch or mis-stamped by Rolex. Includes a period inner box as well as anchor key chain, hang tag and warranty paperwork filled out by the dealer in 1978.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide, light spotting on plate and rotor edges; excellent faded dial with light cracking to dial lume as well as paint loss along perimeter most notably at 6; hands have aged a slightly lighter color than the dial lume; lightly polished case shows little wear, lug chamfers are visible, typical dings on the backs of the lugs from bracelet wear; bracelet shows light wear, light stretch; original Rolex crown shows little wear, good threads; good crystal; resealed for auction. Inner box has started to crack near applied Rolex logo at center.
